WAHHHH I somehow managed to get on the National Geographic Daily Dozen again! I’m so excited!!!!! (<–see excessive exclamation points as proof). This actually happened last week, but I haven’t posted it yet to my spakin’ new blog, so here it is. The story behind the shot is pretty simple…I was HELLA bored. I think I had watched like three episodes of Mad Men (Don Draper is my boyfriend) and I needed to get outta the house. It was already dark, but some of the best photography comes is at night. You have to be creative with the lighting and the challenge is always fun. I hadn’t actually been to the Washington Monument in years so I figured I’d start there. More popular than the monument itself, the little kids loved stomping on the lights that surround it. This little girl was adorable, and was pretending to fly over them.
