Last August I was lucky enough to visit the Manuel Antonio region of Costa Rica with my husband and friends. This country absolutely did not disappoint. It’s overflowing with wildlife, literally everywhere you look. I think we saw 7-8 different sloths in our week long stay, including a mother and PRECIOUS little fuzz nugget of a baby.
We started our stay at HACIENDA BARU, a privately owned nature preserve that’s walking distance to the beach and jungles. I absolutely loved this spot. Every morning you could walk the grounds and see tons of wildlife. We then moved to the more central area of Manuel Antonio, staying at HOTEL COSTA VERDE in a cabin on the edge of the jungle. We were awoken almost every morning by band of capuchin monkeys that tried to break into our kitchen. It was an incredible trip and we absolutely see ourselves going back. Pura Vida!
